Just picked up a 2010 hatchback and guy i got it from says the trunk was opening but he seemed a bit sketchy to be honest . I've ohmed out the release button since this seems to be a common issue and it reads fine . Next went to apply 12v directly to the latch and she made a weird noise and popped . Now it reads open when read 1.8 before , so I know ive smoked the latch and will need a new one . But before it never hummed or anything when pressing the button , I dont have a keyfob ..dont know if that helps but any info would be.much appreciated
