Hello all,

I got a new car three weeks ago. Really enjoying it. However, I'm wondering if the trunk raises when you push the open button?
When I press the button, it just releases the trunk but the lid doesn't raise up at all. I know it doesn't fully open automatically, but should the trunk lid at least raise up slightly? Is this normal? Not a big deal, it just that I have to tell people every time the trunk is already open as the lid doesn't move at all. thanks.

 

They just pop open, they don't['t open up.

When my car is clean, the trunk pops up 6 inches or so. When the car is dirty, it unlatches but does not pop up more than a quarter inch or so. The weatherstripping may be a little sticky blocking the pop.
