Trunk Cable

RE: Trunk Cable
the trunk cable is also part of the gas door release cable.
so you have to replace both, unfortunately
it's pretty east tho, you just have to find where the cable runs, undo the clips if there is any, replace the cable, and redo the clips....
its actually quite simple....
im pretty sure the cable just hooks into place where the trunk/gas door release is....
at most you'll have to remove some carpeting....or just move it out of the way....you might need some new zip ties, i dont know....
make sure you have the new cable before you start (im pretty sure you can order one thru mazda

RE: Trunk Cable
Try checking to make sure the valet lockout is not switched on. Sometimes gets accidently bumped and you may not even realize you have this function. Yellow button thingy on the right side of trunk latch is the valet lockout.

If button is in this position you can open the trunk from inside.

If buttonis in this position then inside release is not operable.
