I'll agree with Wannabe. If i chose between which to buy having neither i'd go MS3, for various reasons and so i did. But in this case i can't see any reason to, except any nuances or peves you have for the 350.

 

As much as i love Nissan in general id say go with the Speed 3. Why? well because the 3 is more passenger friendly the the 350 both visualy and space wise, the 3 is also a very rare car to see on the road and you can get that sence of sneakyness when people look at your car and say "wtf i thought that was just a 3hatch". The speed3 being so new you can have the oppertunity to do something nobody else has done alot easier vs. the 350, most people dont even have to give the Z a second look w/o know what it is. Plus the insurance would be alot nicer along the car payments, and the speed3 gets better gas milage. The 350 leans towards the highend sport scale plus kinda up there on the cops "pull them over before they lose us" list, while the speed 3 is totally under the radar and can wipe the smile off those kids faces who thinks there bone stock srt-4 and colbolt ss are bad *** when you blow by them....if you intend on useing the the 3 in that manner, not to say you cant beat them in your 350 but they wouldnt be dumb enough to take one on while they are still stock. Thats just my 2cents

Get a friend or loved one to assist you by driving you to a Mazda dealer mid morning, after a good nights sleep. Test drive the Speed3 and remember your route. Don't get caught up in the test drive just drive it. Then You drive yuor 350 on the same route. Try from something with a mixture of conditions and see if that does'nt help. Just don't go into the mazda used to the 350. Start from scratch in the day.

 

The "wolf in sheeps' clothing" aspect of the MS3 is a lot of the fun, for me. I spanked some smartass kid in a new Eclipse a while back. I must have laughed for 10 minutes afterwards -- he looked very surprised.
