Default Stereo questions

I guess you all can tell that I am new to the forum, as I am choc full of questions for the experts - Please forgive this gal if I ask too many questions... I just want the best out of my ride....

Ok so I have the 3 2004 - I'veadded an amp and box (2 12" JL Audio's)which are entirely too big for the trunk - Is there any waythat I can take the subs out of the box that they are in and mount them in the trunk somewhere without losing the sound quality?

Also how can I replace the stock stereo systemsince it'san all together unit?

Default RE: Stereo questions

From what research I've done, Mounting those 12" would be kinda difficult, you need space to give you that bass and we just ain't got it. As for the Stereo, they make a module that you can keep your steering wheel controls, only thing is don't get a radio-controlled module, you wanna get a hard-wired module so that there is no lag from steering wheel to receiver. Crutchfield is a good place to start. That way you can get what ever kind of stereo you want. Hope I answered at least one of you questions.
