Default Snow - Breaks

sunday i was driving in the snow and my breaks locked up when I tried to stop at a red light. It seems like now that all the snow is gone and its dry and that I have to hit the breaks harder to stop now. What caused this to happen?

Could be the salt and snow clinging to the rotors...or perhaps the brake pads as well. That or you could have glazed the brake pads when you made the hard sudden stop.

ahhI hate those....I manage rental homes, soI know what its like to deal with those.

Also you have try and spray some brake cleaner fluid on for the time being. Just don't get it on the rims and stuff.

Yeah I know. But the good thing its if you think really bad, your either prepared for it or you are relieved when its something small. But usually you can take it to a brake place and have them look at it for free.

I doubt its salt clinging or brake pads....I think maybe it could have glazed the break pads...it should go away on its own....the brake cleaner isnt a bad idea either...good luck.

Agree about taking it to a place that will give you a free inspection. Brakes ain't nothin to play around with. How many miles do you have on them?
