Rear breaks
Car: 1992 323 1.6 front wheel drive.
It feels like my rear drums aren't working like they should. I mean I just had them done a couple of months ago. They feel like there no deploying all the way untill my foot is about halfway down on the pedal. Even then my pedal feels kind of soft, doesn't feel very firm like it should. I mean the car stops but only when I put the pedal down most of the way does it really start to stop.
I just replaced my front breaks right befor the fouth of july. I also blead the front....
I need some help truoble shooting the area. I am not that good with the whole break system. I can replace the pads, shoes, and wheel clyenders but thats about as far as I go...
any Ideas?
thanks

RE: Rear breaks
Sounds as if the rear brakes need to be adjusted properly. It is very easy to do, a pic shows what to do. You need to bring the shoes closer to the drum. It will be adjusted properly when the shoes barely touch the drum when brakes are not applied. The problem is that there is too much travel between the shoes and drums.
