P0192 error - atypical
2012 3 HB, new to me, with 133K. Bought it a couple of months ago (one owner before me). Within the last few weeks, the P0192 issue has popped up and literally prevented me from starting the car. Researching the heck out of this across the web ... most seem to have this error associated with decreased performance while driving. For me, however, it starts and drives fine. But if I turn it off and then attempt to restart it, that's when I get the error and the car just will not start. It turns over and tries to start a bit but even giving it gas does not help.
Put a new sensor in to no avail. If I let the car sit for awhile - say overnight or sometimes even just an hour, I can get it to start up and drive fine again. Based on how this is happening, it doesn't seem to me like it is related to a ground or other circuit related issue. (However, I am not an expert by any means and do have the service manual downloaded so that I can check the electricals just to be sure.) Before I start testing and replacing the fuel pumps, I thought I would see if anyone had dealt with this particular type of P0192 error before.
