Default Neutral Safety/Clutch Interlock

Hey guys, I want to install a clutch interlock in my 3 so the clutch has to be depressed to start it AND I want to install a bypass switch (like older Nissan Pathfinders) to bypass the interlock and use it like it is now where it can start in gear. Can someone take some pics of their clutch pedals so I can see what I need to do? I am not even sure if the wiring is there for this though.

Thanks!

The clutch should already need to be depressed to start the car. It does on my car.

Not on European models, there are no safety interlocks on manual trans cars here and I really would like one since my roommate started my car.....in reverse........into a wall behind the car.

Gotcha. I wonder why they would include the interlock in one country but not another.

It is the lawyers. There are more lawyers per capita in the US than in any other country. Trial lawyers pull about 2% of the domestic product in tort money.
McDonalds put a "warning coffee is hot!" on their coffee cups because they lost a law suit for million s because somebody spilled hot coffee in her lap at the drive thru!
A lawn mower I bought had a big warning label on it: "rotating blade! do not reach under the deck with your hands!" I heard someone used a lawn mower to trim hedges and his fingers, then blamed the manufacturer of the lawn mower for it.
There was an episode of mysteriously accelerating Audi 5000. That's when they started to put interlocks in.

Other countries rely on common sense, the USA rely on lawyers.

^^ To play Devil's Advocate for the whole coffee thing, that cup of coffee was 170 degrees.

So anyone have pics or can get pics that I can use, I will post a few of mine for comparison then we can decide what I need (what I need is a friend that doesnt start my car in gear into a wall LOL). Oh how hard is it to repaint the bumpers? Need to sand and paint the rear one now.
