I have a 2014 Mazda 3 and this issue started happening yesterday.

I drove a good 15-20mins when all of a sudden the engine just shut off, there was no stutter or knocking, and the radio/infotainment system stayed on. I was able to pull over safely, at this point the car was in accessory power mode so I turned it off and was able to start the car right away.

This issue has happened 5 times since yesterday, without any obvious triggers.

Here are my observations:
- There are no error codes via ODB-II.
- At times I am able to drive 10-15mins without the engine shutting off, and at other times the issue re-occurs within 1-2 mins.
- I am always able to restart the car (after shifting into 'Park')
- The issues hasn't happened while the car is idling
- Note: I don't see how this could be related but I did change the rear brake pads 4 days ago.

This has me perplexed, hoping to get some guidance.
