Default Engine Question

Could I swap my 2.0 for a 2.3L in my 04? besides getting the ecu for the 2.3l would i need to swap anything else? Would my autotragic bolt up to it? What about my MAF sensor and other sensors? I would swap to a manual but i'd hate to let this tranny go. As many of you know I got a brand new tranny in this car for $100 cause it was under warranty =). I pretty much have a brand new transmission in this car it only has 8k miles on it

Is the 2.0 blown? If not why would you go threw all the trouble to change to the 2.3? I was told by the dealer there is only 12hp-15hp difference between both engines. Just asking.

No, I found a 2.3L engine out of an 06 for $650 with out the ecu plus between me and and my friend that would help me do it, we have all the tools. Cherry picker etc...

I figured that would be realtively cheap plus all my bolt ons would work, exhaust, header, voltage stablizer, intake.

yes everything sits the same the only thing i can think of that might cause a concern is when getting your ecu make sure you look up what its programmed with meaning is programmed for an auto or manual, what accessories is setup for i.e tps, abs, blah blah blah
