CAI for the Streets

CAI for the Streets
I just purchased an 06 Mazda 3 Hatchback. I would like to give it a little hp boost but not for racing, but for my personal enjoyment of driving about.
I would like your opinion as to which CAI to buy based on:
Street driving
Low to middle range rpm hp boost
A filter that's reusable/washable and doesn't require oil
And make a good purring sound
Thanx,
Ron

RE: CAI for the Streets
Hey Ron!! Welcome!1
This subject has been covered over and over and my personal recommendation is either the AEM , or the Mazdaspeed (buy it on the aftermarket.)They are both the sameas they are bothdesigned and made by AEM, and offer the best bangfor the buck imo.
TheInjen's are real good too, but very expensive.

RE: CAI for the Streets
from what i have read on a lot of forums people are saying to go with SRI for our cars....we supposidly don't gain much from a CAI and we loose low end torque/hp from a CAI...i am getting a fujita f5 soon though.....I am selling my CAI i bought off of ebay which is a injen replica... I used it for about 2 days or so and put my stock air box back in, nothing is wrong with it i just got a bargain on the fujita f5 so i am putting that in. I have everything you need to do the install including a brand new air filter. Let me know if you are interested. $60.00 including shipping.
