honestly... taking off the old stock intake is much more time consuming/difficult than slapping the cai in... the cai will take maybe 5-10 minutes tops! pretty simple

t_g_m6 is exactly right. getting all the stock parts out are a pain in the ****, especially when you do it outside at night (im pretty dumb, yeah i know)...but slapping the CAI on can be done in minutes.

can these intakes come with the guards against hydrolock? or do you have to buy it seperatley

here's a link from a post i had about the hydroshield and information pertaining to the topic.

https://www.mazdaforum.com/m_8313/tm.htm

hope that allows you to better understand them a bit... for suppliers of the product, i would recon' that most car websites, as long as they are an injen dealer, would have this product.

off the top of my head, there are 2 kinds that i can specifically remember... one of which has high-end torque and one that has a mid-ranged torque.... as for the low-end torque, i dont believe they have one. if i were you... considering the mid-range torque is the best benefit cause the high-end torque is pointless unless you are going to redline every gear notice that your car has lack of high-end (which it doesn't). you need more pull in lower rpms to get you into the higher rpms
