Default A/C botton is blinking

I have mazda 2006 Zoom 3, since a few weeks ago, I noticed that A/C light on A/C button (Passenger Room) is blinking, and start turn off for some time and goes on again, If it was off, I try to change the fan speed, then it will go back on with blinking some times.

I think there is some loose in ele. connection, But I don't have any clew from where i have to start.

Could any expert help me in this regards and advise me the Fuse box map.

Regards;

Tarek Barham

Thumbs up AC light flashing off & on.

I have 2004 Mazda 3 (test market prototype, introduced in the line as Speed 3 in 2005). Several days ago I noticed the same problem, green AC switch light would go off for short period and then re-light. Visited forums and found several threads on this. Luckily I have mechanic who was a Mazda service tech and is Mr. Magic when the bug-a-boos show up, like this. He was on vacation until today so I stopped in this morning. It was hard to believe but problem was the cabin air filter (which I didn't even know existed even though the car has been dealer maintained, on schedule, since new). I learned 2004 was first year they installed cabin air filter, per Mr. Magic. Changing filter requires removal of glovebox & fuse box, a real pain but it fixed the problem, cost $141.00 parts & labor. Coincidentally the defroster in my 2004 4Runner, bought used, wasn't working very well. Toyota forum advised changing cabin air filter (much easier job here), I did and defroster problem ended. Sometimes it's the little things. Good luck!
