I just got a new 2010 Mazda3 Hatch S with no Bose.

I notice the radio reception is very bad (compare to my old 95 Accord and the rental PT cruiser).

Is this a general problem or specific to my car?

If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have a 2010 Mazda3, can you try tune to 102.1 FM to see how it sound? My reception in San Francisco and San Mateo for 102.1 (Classical) is pathetic. 101.3 is not as bad though.

I have a 2010 GT and the radio is good, but i bought an aftermarket sirius radio with vehicle kit and it uses a built in fm tuner to play through the stereo in the car, and while using that there is some static...

 

I don't have sat radio.

I went to the 2 dealers both say they can do nothing about it. One service manager shows me another Mazda3 and the radio also have bad quality.

Now, I will try to buy a longer antenna. Hope it will help.
