Default Aux help Mazda3 2005

Hello! I’m brand new to the site and being a Mazda3 owner. Loving the car so far but very confused on how the aux works. Any help is appreciated!

If your car is anything like my 2009 Mazda3, you simply plug a cable between your phone and the Aux port in the arm rest and select AUX.

It’s very odd because there is no aux button, but the aux port is where you said

Sounds like it is time for you to read your Owner's Manual; I sold my Mazda3 six years ago and do not remember how to activate it, but I and 99.999999% sure the instructions are in the manual. If you don't have a manual, go to the Mazda web site and download one.

Its not. I checked multiple manuals online. None of them even mentioned a aux port.

Sorry to disappoint, but I very clearly remember reading it in my manual.

Edit: I just pulled up the online version of my manual and it is there big and bold.

Mine has the tape/MD button but no tape insert. Nothing is mentioned about an aux.
