Default Antenna

Hello all.
After I bought my Mazda from pp, I noticed the antenna was "kinda stubby!". Seems someone cut it where it meets the thicker part. Reception is ok, but I got a new stock one for Christmas. My question is simple. How do I install it? Just unscrew it? Old one seems too tight. Is there threadlock, or do I need to remove the base too? Thank you.

I guess some ppl like them, but why would you put the horsey-whip back on, especially if reception is still OK?I like my4" stubby and couldn't wait to get rid of that eyesore.
Yeah Man, they just unscrew. Remember, righty-tighty, lefty-loosey!!

http://www.thexenonstore.com/shark.php You might want to consider putting this in your car instead. i put it on mine, and it makes a load of difference in appearance.
