Default short antenna

I'd like to replace my Mazda3's OEM antenna with a short antenna. Assuming it fits, does anyone know if they get good reception? The antennas I've found are cheap (around $8) so I'm skeptical about the quality of them.

I know this one! haha!

If you read my post alittle down the page of the forum... I posted about the stubby antenna (short antenna)...

It really DEPENDS on where and who you get the antenna from. I mean the stubby-short antenna is a good consmetic upgrade to the car forsure!
I love the way it looks rather than that ugly , long oem antenna!

I got my FIRST one off EBay and the seller got the item to me fast, it was about $12 including shipping etc... well about 3 weeks after having the antenna... it turned a gold color! (was originally a "flat black" factory color)...

I was mad!
They said I could send it back but i didnt want to bother... so I have bought a new one from another seller on EBay , it was about $16 with shipping etc.

It actually has a different finish than the 1st one..more of a shiny , glossy finish. i would recommend you to research the quality of the manufacturer before you buy.. or the coating of the color of the actual antenna!

Well I got mine today... we'll see how it goes, i'll keep everyone posted...!

It did have a screw to screw into the antenna itself then the "holder" that is located on the car... didnt have to do that before..oh well.. I just hope it doesnt come loose or anything!!

Hey Guys, I got this one off ebay. Works and Looks good. Swapped OG antenna and new one and got same reception on 4 stations. Good enough for me. mostly playing CDs anyway. The one I have is the largest one. still pretty small.
