Default new sharkfin antenna...

just found a new antenna that is on the market and has entered its production stage. you can order these cool antennas with any color paint you need (the company paints them to your specified vehicle paint code).

i have read some reviews about them and they tend to be better than some of the stubby antennas that are 3 inches high, but not much better.

anyone know how to amplify the reception that these antennas can get? i know the BMWs have this exact same antenna and they get perfect reception. how do they do that? and how can i get that reception?

good reception is not only in the antenna, the reciever could have better internals too

dude, i've seen a couple threads on the fin antenna's and never ventured into them...gotta say it looks sweet!

even though i don't have an antenna since i've got the 03, it's almost enough to make me put it on just for looks. how close does the paint match? my car is like 5tone, so don't really car, but wondering how it came out.

NOW !!!! that rocks

My future mod , when came the time would have been to take a Volvo (similar look) antennae .... lately I was wondering what kind of mod it would require ???

It just might be less expensive than the aftermarket one ... just wonder if it's 'plug-and-play though .... it is part of the greater family the Volvos , Mazdas , and Fords

You see , my philosohy , is when I see something I like in another car that would look good on my 6xy .... as for my side fender flashers I was enquiring about in my other past thread ; ..... well lately I have been contemplating which side flasher from the BMWs 5 series I should put on !!!

these antennas have been around for a while... but the problem before was that they were all for exterior cosmetics (they were not functional). what a bummer! now the tides have changed my friends....

i'm not exactly sure how long the color code is but i do believe that you can find it on your door when you open it up. tell me if i'm wrong.

and hell, i bought a stubby for cheap but that can be discarded. this shark fin is my new antenna once a save up a little bit of money.

anyone know how to swap out better internals for the antenna?
