2004 GT sedan trunk wont open
Hi. So my mazda 3 has this annoying issue. I can open trunk only with a key, pressing the lock wont open the trunk. I have measured the resistance of the micro switch that gets pressed when you push the lock and it seems ok. Also i tried to "steal" electric from fog light cable straight to the actuator and it works that way so i guess the problem is not in actuator. Micro switch does not get electricity and i guess thats the problem? Is there a fuse for trunk lock mechanism? Some sort of wiring diagram would help too or if someone knows where the cable to micro switch comes from? Also i have visually checked the cables that you can see without much disassebling. Also trunk light doesnt work even when i changed the light bulb, maybe those two has something in common?
Sorry if this post is painfully long and not that proper english but please im really desperate

My 2015 MX5 had a switch in the trunk that disabled any remote opening functions and you had to use the key to open it. Perhaps your car has a similar feature and the switch was mistakenly engaged?
Thanks for the answer! I tried to search all over the place but i cant find any switch like that. Also tried to google it and read the manual but seems like there is not such a switch in older mazda 3's
