Default ***Possible to add LEATHER after purchase?***

I was wondering if there is any way to get leather seating (light colored) in the mazda 3 i?
I mean, getting it done somewhere else after purchase. If there is a way, what is it?
Thanks.

Sure there is. We have sent new vehicles to a good upholstery shop to have factory cloth upgraded to leather and they do a really good job. Would not be able to tell between factory and aftermarket. Check out some good local upholstery shops in your area and get some references. I have even seen some added leather to door panels that look great. Check around your area and see what is available. Check references though because some are cheesy.

Price was in the $1000-$1200 range. Did both front as well as rear seats. Door panels might run you a bit more. If you are still considering make sure you get some references for past work. Have seen some really nice upgrades as well as some pretty cheasy ones.

Katzkin is one of the most recognized names in aftermarket leather interiors. I've seen them in several Miatas before and they make a great product. Actually, the upholstery shops will probably order the seat covers from Katzkin. They are fabricated to the same dimensions as the OEM seat covers and are replacements for them. If you are crafty, have tools, and have a spare weekend, you could probably order the covers yourself and install them.

This guy is right. As I stated in the other upholstery thread, Katzkin is the way too go. I had their seats in my 04 Silverado for about a year. Still looked brand new. Sold for 90% of what I paid for them on ebay after a year of use.
