hey guys, i'm new to this forum but not new to cars.
i'm getting ready to purchase a new vehicle for a new sales rep of mine and was looking for something nice with good gas mleage.
I found a 2000 Protege LX, 1 time owner, with only 47k miles on it. They are asking 5k for it which i dont think is unfair but was just wondering if these have any manufacturer call backs or defects that i should look for (ex. crankwalk in the 2g DSM's,burning oil in the Bseries motors, etc etc etc). If there is anyting outside of the obvious - oil changes, general maintenance, etc etc. Any help is much apreciated. thanks.

 

I've got the same exact car and have had it for probably 6 months now. Never saw anything on recalls for them and have hadno problems at all ever so far with it and don't anticipate any either. Mine was 56k miles and 7k after 2k trade in haha so i'd say 5k is really good for that. Very reliable and a nice car too I'd say get it asap .
