My som was rear ended in his 2012 Mazda 2 on Friday which has caused quite significant damage to the hatch. Subsequently he is now unable to lock his car at all as the hatch isn’t latching. Is there anything we can do while waiting for the panel beaters to fit us in - we’ve been advised that there will be some delay. I’m concerned about him not being able to lock his car especially in light of the recent car theft statistics in our town.

 

If the hatch doesn't latch, then the thieves will enter through the hatch.
