Liftgate will not lock
Hi,
I'm a bit new to Mazda. I purchased a 2009 Mazda 5 a few months ago. Other than some minor issues and an emissions issue, it's been a good car. About a month ago, my wife and I noticed the back hatch or liftgate was not locking. Even with the keys in the house it still will not lock manually. I have not clue where to start. I know there is a switch in the door and the lock. I'm going to go open the panels and do some testing with my multi-meter. Does anyone have a suggestion?
I can clearly hear all other locks activate by a manual lock of the doors, just not the rear hatch. It may also be worth noting that my key's battery is dead, but I should still be able to lock all doors manually.
