Default Gear problem Mazda 2 2008

Hi guys, i own automatic mazda 2 2008.
I have issue with my gears.
Sometimes the gear designator (D) in my dashboard disappears, and the gear is stuck on high rpm. the problems solves after restarting the car, sometimes the problem continues even after that. If i continue to drive the car apx 5 min or more i have dsc warning designator shown on my dashboard.
Somebody had this problem, or knows what causing it?
Many thanks.

Time to take it to Mazda for a diagnostic code check.

Hi Vova Le,

I recently bought a 2008 Mazda 2 and am having the exact same problem that you have described. I have taken it to several mechanics and to Mazda 3 times and they have been unable to determine the fault or how to fix it. Please let me know if you were able to fix this issue and what exactly caused the problem. There is almost no other information or forums online regarding this issue, I would really appreciate the help! Thank you!

Did you find out what the problem was? took mine to a transmission specialist. He cant find the cause. Not sure if its worth paying more or time to retire the car.

Then “HE” wasn’t a specialist !

There are no two vehicles that are identical, you have different miles, service record and driving locations and conditions.

So it’s better to start your own thread about your Mazda and some members can advise based on your exact and specific information. But in your own thread.

BTW the last time anyone besides you posted on this thread was almost 6 that’s SIX years ago look ……… Jun 14, 2020 | 08:51 AM
