air con low port

air con low port
I've got a Mazda 2 Capella 2007 (old shape). I need to know where the high port connector is for adding new air con gas R123a.
There is a port on the left hand side of the front bonnet rail (looking at the engine from the front) but the connector I have on the hose 13mm does not want to fit. Although when I measure the connector it is 13mm!
I'm worried that this might be the high connector rather than the low one which I think I need to connect to.
I can't seem to find any documentation which shows high and low connector placement on the car.
Any pointers as to where I might find and identify the ports would be very much appreciated.
Thanks Al

Mazda 2 is a small sedan or hatch. Capella is the JDM version of the 626. I'm confussed???
A/C servicing is hooked up to both high pressure & low pressure valves/ports, or are you trying a dodgy DIY canister from the auto store?

Hi, Thanks for the reply. The Capella version of the 2007 Mazda 2 is the top of the range with the electric windows, air con and central locking.
This is in the UK.
I need to locate both high and low connector. I believe the low port is the one to which you connect your hose and gauge.
Thanks Al

I've found it...... The low port air con connector that is....
its under the offside (Driver in UK) wheel arch. You have to take out the plastic cover, about 8 screws and its sitting just below the headlamp area.
Whoever designed this wants shooting! I understand that on some models its been moved into the engine bay.
