2009 MAZDA 2 DE 1.5lt Auto Engine Mount Replacement - Turmak Brand Used

Turmak Engine Mounts: Installed All three = $159 Made in Taiwan 12Mth Warranty. RHS Front is a Hydro Hybrid Mount.
Having done a number of engine mounts over the years, they appear well made & Quality Items.
Perfect fitment to Australia Delivered 2009 1.5lt Auto DE Japan VIN.
Hopefully they will have longevity. If there is the opportunity, will come back & provide an update in 2 years & then 5 years time.

The choices were discussed: mazdaforum.com/forum/mazda2-53/2009-mazda-2-de-1-5lt-auto-engine-mount-replacement-brand-choice-55471/
All in $AUD
"MAZDA Dealer Genuine Parts: $671, $254, $297 = $1,222 ?Expect one (1) made in Japan, & two (2) Made in China?
MAZDA Genuine Parts Supplier 2: $262, $105, $157 = $523 if the photos are are correct for the Items to be supplied one (1) Made in Japan & two (2) Made in China
Vs
Turmak: All three = $159 Made in Taiwan 12Mth Warranty. RHS Front is a Hydro Hybrid Mount."

The "Turmak Engine Mounts" were all “Lighter in Weight": than the Original MAZDA OEM Mounts.
RHS Top - MAZDA Genuine Original 2kg - Turmak Unit 1.875kg
LHS Top of Auto Transmission - MAZDA Genuine Original 1.5kg - Turmak Unit 1.4kg
Rear of Motor - MAZDA Genuine Original 1.1kg - Turmak Unit 0.875kg

Not possible to do a "Shore A Durometer Test" on the Top RHS Mount, it was possible to test the LHS Transmission Mount & the Rear Mount & compare NEW with Old.
It was interesting to use a Digital Luggage Scale to Compare the New & Old Engine Mounts kg of applied force to have the mount move a comparable fixed distance.
The Old Top RHS Mount was not leaking but had more movement than expected.
The Old LHS Transmission Mount had small visible Tear.
The Old Rear Engine Mount had “visible small tears to both sides” that opened when flexed.

Fitted the Three Mounts in 45 minutes using a Garage Trolley Jack & hand tools, used Car Stands for support when under the car doing the rear mount, it is an easy job, (no 48V or compressed Air Impact Tools used).

01a NEW TURMAK RHS Top Mount EMMA002

The Top RHS Hybrid Hydraulic Mount is important, the NEW Turmak Unit came fitted with the Aluminium Interface & its "additional Small Damping Unit". With the Engine at Operational Temperature the Top RHS Mount Typically sits at 78Deg C nominal on the Aluminium Arm that bolts to the "Engine Head", the conducted heat results in 51Deg C nominal on the Barrel of the Top Front RHS Mount.

########
Replacements were installed in the following order [1st] Front RHS is a Hydro Mount, [2nd] LHS Transmission Mount (take the Battery & support Bracket out), the Bolts were 95Nm, [3rd] Rear Mount.
Started the engine after each mount was changed & moved the Auto from Park to D to N to R to N to D & then back to park to observe the Fast-Idle Engine Movement & also to endeavour to observe the Fast Idle Vibration Change.
Cold Start Fast-Idle Vibration, nominal 90% vibration reduction occurred with the Front RHS change. The other 10% reduction occurred once the LHS Transmission Mount was Changed.

With all three Engine Mounts replaced:
The Squarking Noise from the Front RHS Mount is gone at Fast Idle when "the Engine Mount was Cold".
At “Fast Idle when Cold” the vibration transfer to the chassis has reduced.
With Driving, Vibration is definitely reduced at Op Temp Idle in Drive with Foot on Brake.

WIN!
