My CEL came on for the second time in a relatively short period of time. I had Auto Zone check the code and it returned P0141. After running the code, they told me it was the O2 sensor in Bank 1 Sensor 2. It either has a short circuit or the sensor is bad. This same code popped up a couple months ago and I replaced the O2 sensor. According to Mazda and websites I found, Bank 1 Sensor 2 is the front sensor below the first Cat. I called Mazda today about getting a quote to replace it, and they told me that it could also be a bad/broken hose somewhere in the PCV system. I checked all the PCV hoses and they are all fine. Does anyone have any other ideas that might set off that code that isn't the O2 sensor or the PCV hoses? I'm hoping to figure it out without having to take my car to Mazda and have them diagnose it.
