CEL Code P1512 on 2000 MPV

RE: CEL Code P1512 on 2000 MPV
P1512 means that the computer has determined that the Intake Manifold Runner Control shutter valve is stuck closed. Couple of pics below to show you the location of valves as well as the actuator cable and where the cable connects to the intake manifold area. With the engine at operating temperature. Raise the rpm to over 4000 and the cable should pull the actuator link in the bottom picture above that rpm.

No, there is no reason to be concerned about the code. The IMRC system is only there to change the length of the intake runners to take advantage of the intake air pulses and give a tad more high end power. If you do not notice a power difference then why worry.

I'm sorry I don't quite understand the procedures that were explained on how to fix the code P1512 on my 2000 MPV as well. Do you just give the actuator cable a tug while someone pedals the engine to 4000 rpm? Any additional detail or even pictures would greatly help. Thanks!!!

Intake Manifold Runner Control shutter valve
When I took my intake manifold off to clean it out I found the linkage between the front/rear IMRC Valves had become disconnected so the front one was stuck shut. I don't know if I caused it when I took the manifold off or it was like that previously. I made an e-clip out of a washer to secure it back on. The linkage is visible on the 2.5L without taking anything off the engine.
