Question 2006 Tribute with intermittent power failure to rear latch switch/sensor

2006 Tribute has an intermittent door ajar light going off. The repair shop ran the diagnostics and traced it to the rear hatch switch. We did further testing and isolated the issue to the main latch lock and not the glass. Tried bypassing the switch which was a good idea but uncovered the actual real problem. There is intermittent power loss going to this latch sensor. The sensor going to the glass hatch switch has consistent power. Actually pulled all the latches and tested them on the bench, all have functioning switches. Anyone know where this power feed may have come loose or where to look? Thanks
