I have a 2001 Tribute that I just had a rebuilt engine put in. The rpms are running up around 3500. The mechanic has told me he has done everything he can from a hardware check. He seems to believe the hard code may have lost the setting. I am inclined to believe him since this had started on my last engine before it died. Can someone out there validate this to be correct. Suggestions welcomed.
