Whats a fair labor price for a mechnic to replace all motor/ tranmission mounts

and the valve cover gasket on a 2000 Mazda protege 1.6l.

also the mehnic will have a labor price of $80/ hr so whats a fair price or how long should it take a mechanic to do this job.

A good mechanic will quote you a price based on a data base from Chilton or similar. My mechanic never goes above the quote. Just call some independent shops and ask them.

so my mechanic charged $260 labor to replace the valve cover gasket and 4 mounts his in the process of doing the job right now. Hope that was a good price.

Yeah- thats a good price- one MM quote for me was $129. good show
