Default Washer fluid motor busted - 98 protege

so my windshield fluid motor stopped working. when i try to use it, the wipers go just fine but no fluids come out, no spray sounds at all. so im guessing i need to replace it. my question is, is this something i can do myself, or do i need to get it done at the shop. ive got the haynes manual for my car but it doesnt cover this particular problem.

its a 1998 protege lx touring, 1.8L engine.

Thanks

the installation should be really simple if you are mechanically inclined. i imagine that, since you have a hayne's manual, you are. it should just be a positive line and a ground line for electronics and hoses. it may be a little hard to get to or find but the install shouldn't be hard.

Ok,
First thing is to soak the Haynes manual in gasoline and light. Use to heat the garage.
1. The washer motor is at the base of the washer fluid tank.
2. Remove the right front mud guard. (2 screws facing down into the the bumper cover and fender) Pull out to get full veiw of tank.
3. there are two screws and a clip to remove the washer tank.
4. unplug the motor, and remove the black hose.
5. The motor pulls off the bottom of the tank with a little force. try a flathead screw driver.
6. put new motor on and put it all back together. (check make sure motor works before putting all the screws in.
7. Wahsre motor is a $20 part.

i like that. i would still rather have a haynes than a chilton's, but they are all vague and mostly useless. i could learn just as much standing at autozone for a little while.
