Valet / Override Button - 2003 Protege?
Hi,
My girlfriend just called me from a store parking lot can no longer drive her 2003 Mazda Protege because the alarm system won't disable when you uses her key. She has long ago lost the keyless entry fob (a.k.a. the clicker).
After searching the forums, I told her to try to find the a Valer/Override button but she is unable to find it. She was able to find a small black box with a white dial on it that let her dial down the proximity sensor so she can at least sit in the car with out triggering the alarm.
This alarm system is what was installed by the dealer though it may technically be an 'after-market' alarm.
Can someone tell me how to describe to her where it is located or a better alternative for disarming the alarm and still be able to drive the car?
Thanks!
