stiff suspension and bumpy ride
okay so i took a bunch of pictures of just pretty much the entire underside of the car as well as under the hood, so what areas should i post so you can take a look at
also with regards to the struts, on cornering i dont get too much lean and my wheels only slip a little bit if i take the turn really quick (like way quicker than i need to). again im way new to cars at all, but logically i picture like...when im in the car there not being much upwards room for the strut to go so that when i hit bumps and stuff the force is transferred to the body, however there is enough downwards room so that when i corner there is plenty of pressure keeping the wheels on the ground.
that probably made no sense.
also if i do need struts and im mostly interested in comfort, would monroe struts be any good? they're on sale at canadian tire

Hi Chunk.. My best guess is the problem is at the back of the car. I would have a mechanic check the springs. I think what is happening is the springs are causing the body to travel too close to the hard stops on the suspension. I thought about it a little more last night and did some experimenting and found if I but springs on an old car we had it would bounce all over the place. I just measured the body height on my car. From the ground, across the center of the wheel, to the top of the wheel arch is between 25 1/8 and 25 1/4 inches. Check that out, it might shed some light on things. Also will tell us if the car is sitting level. We'll keep digging until we find out what it is....
okay i just measured on the drivers side. in the front its 25 1/4 -25 1/8 and in the back its 25 3/4, and its 14 inch wheels properly inflated.
so yeah its like the opposite of what happens on a bad suspension i guess, where it bounces all over the place. it just stays in place. so where do we go from here
