should i buy this protege?

I have the chance to buy a Manual 1997 protege es for $1200. It has 164k miles and still on the original clutch. Are these cars reliable? Thanks in advance.

I can't say from experience but online reviews are favorable. Yours will depend on it's condition. You will need a clutch so factor that into your price. Check KBB, Edmunds, NHTSA. Has it been smogged yet?
