Default Odd Issue??

I recently purchased this Protege5 and the fogs were not working. I put in new bulbs and they were working, but the housings were trashed. Ordered new ones and hooked them up and NOTHING...them and the old ones will not work now. Fuse is not blown and I hear it click in the engine bay when I hit the switch inside for them.

I did notice that when I turned them on before the new housings there was about a 2-3 second delay then they would come on. now just nothing.

And no the high beams are not on either. Tried it with the engine running and not running.

Any advice?

Thanks!
Dave

I'm not a protege guy, but I will take a crack at it. Things like lights, fuel pump, horn that require more than 5-10 amps of power should have a relay to energize the device. In this case, I would suggest you look for a relay that controls the FL. The switch and whatever is associated with the realy control does just that. The "high" current is transmitted to the device from the relay contacts.

I am an old protege guy but too old for that newfangled Protege 5 (just look at that avatar!).
Kevinpk already gave you a spark. So follow his advise. In addition make sure you have a good ground connection. Hopefully the light goes on then.

Ram air? Referring to the Suzuki 2 cycle engines of the 70's?
