Default mazda speed aftermarket

I recently just bought a 2003 ms protege, love it to death, its fast as hell. It has a injen intake, a turbo sx boost controller. Is there anything else besides exhaust that i can do with out rebuilding the block?? reason being i dont have the resources for taking the enging out plus i dont know of anyshops around my area that would put parts in bought from somewhere else.

you might want to invest in a throttle body that is at least 100mm big in diameter. that will allow more air into your engine so that no air is restricted from entering the engine.

I've got a mazdaspeed as well. Exhuast is the definite biggest step you can take, especially if you go with a turboback such as the GHL or s-pipe back like the Vibrant. Aside from that, another good supporting mod would be an upgraded intercooler, since the stock IC is very small and heatsoaks quickly. You can look at either an upgraded side mount (same location as stock, only much more efficient), or a front mount (nice big IC core sitting in the lower grille opening), depending on how much you want to boost it.

But be careful with the boost controller, especially if you haven't got exhaust yet, the rods on our cars are not very strong.

EDIT- another good website to add to the list is protegegarage.com
