Compatible aftermarket stereo 2007 Mazda 6
Does anyone know if there is a compatible aftermarket headunit that works in the Mazda 6 (2007 Model)? There is a huge difference in sound on my cd player between a burned CD-R and a regularartist CD. Most of my cd's are burned. I bought a JL Audio Cleansweep device that is supposed to make a stockstereo signal to my ampsas good as a aftermarket signal but I haven't installed it yet. I emailed JL Audio to ask about the burned cdquestion and they said that since the burned cd quality was so bad their unit would not improve it.
I don't want to loose the steering wheel radio controls and I'm also concerned the little LED panel above the radio may stop working too. Does anyone know if there is there an aftermarket radio that will interface correctly to preserve the function of this stuff?
I realize I'll have to buy the $160.00 Metra dash adapter for the new headunit.

I'm assuming that you are burning your CD's from digital files on your computer, such as MP3's and WMA's. This being the case, your problem may simply be with the files you are using. There is an easy and far cheaper way to fix that, simply lower the compression on the files you are using. In digital audio files, the higher the compression, the lower the fidelity, and vise versa. Now, this won't do you any good for the files you have currently or the CD's you are using now, but for future refrence it could save you this headache.

Thanks for the tip. I'll give that a try. I think I've decided to keep the Cleansweep and just get a nice MP3 player and install it through the cleansweep and forgo recording any new CD's. Might as well keep up with the times.
