I been having some trouble with my protégé lx with the 2.0 automatic and could use some of your help if you wouldn't mind. I have found that some people have had this same issue and have read a few of them. I too would not like to pay a greedy mechanic to help me fix an issue that I could more than likely do myself and charge me an arm and a leg for it.


I have already flushed the tranny fluid all out and changed it all. it seemed to be getting better then the blinking overdrive light came back on and it has down shifted into a low gear. engine light came on and the code po767 has come on indicating the solenoid d is stuck.


Does the Protege5 and the Protégé 2002 have the same transmission because the image that I have found is for a protégé5 not just a protégé?


Is the solenoid d easy to replace? from what I have seen from other posts. It might be easy accessible as soon as you take off the tranny pan. Are the solenoids marked??? Does anyone have any ideas or tips that could possibly help me out PLEASE!

 

I don't know if the have the same tranny. Ask an auto parts store.
