2002 Protege ABS code 1347?

RE: 2002 Protege ABS code 1347?
How did you get that code # thedblc? Do not show that code number existing for ABS, engine, or body codes. There is a B1342 that can be stored for the ABS system and that code is indicating a fault in the ABS HU/CM and not anything else is listed as possible fault. Wheel speed sensor/rotor failure codes would all begin with either C11 or C12.

I had found a post from 2005 where you (babyhuey) had described grounding the 2nd pin in the 3rd row of connections under in the Diagnostics box, turning on the ignitionand watching the flashes to get the code. I was hoping to at least understand the problem before taking it in.
The symptoms are the ABS and Brake light are on. Seems like the ABS are disabled once the ABS light comes on.
I wonder if I am not interpreting the flashes correctly. Could it be a 1247 or something? I will try it again.

Sounds like you are doing the code gathering procedure correctly but you should only be getting a 2 digit flash code. The 4 digit is only available if using a diagnostic scanner. Diagrams below show the correct pin to ground just in case and for any others to have future reference as well as recognizing the flashing pattern. Once you turn the key on the light will come on for a short time and then start flashing the output code according to the second diagram. You may have more than one code stored. In this case not a 1347 but 13 and a 47. The code numbers that will be output with the flashing light will only be the following.
11 thru 14, 22 thru 29, 30, 32 thru 35, 41 thru 48, 51 thru 54, 61, and finally 63.
If you are in fact getting the two separate codes of 13 and 47 then both are indicating a fault in the signal from the right rear wheel speed sensor circuit so that would be a place to start checking. Make sure it is even plugged in. Disconnect and reconnect connector and see if light goes out after driving a short distance. Make sure the sensor toothed wheel is not on crooked and is centered with the sensor.
