Default 1994 mazda protege dx

I have a 1994 Mazda Protege 1.8 sohc that was stalling occasionally whenI slowed down to stop.Last weekI was cruising at 40 mph and it suddenly died, there was no noise and all electric was working.I checked for spark and fuel and it has both.ThenI checked the timing belt and it was lined up.I checked the compression and it was at 35 pounds. All electric works and it turns over fine but wont start. What do you think i should check now?

35 lbs is awefully low, isn't it? i think my 2.0 is at 100 lbs. also, if yours has a fuel filter, it could be clogged making the fuel pressure too high. or, you may have fuel pressure, but it may not be enough to start the car.
