I´m new to the forum.
I have a problem with the Immo I think, a week ago I was driving going 55 miles/h and suddenly there was no power but when I was driving 35 there was suddenly power Again, I drove home and 10 minutes later my wife should use the car she was able to drive 20 meters from our house then the motor stopped and has not started since.
I tryed to test the motor too see what was wrong, the motor was cranking and I was spraying startgas into airintake too see if it was gas that was missing, but no starting then I took one sparkplug out and tested for spark, there was no spark.
Towed the car to a mechanic he has changed the sparkplugs and also the startcoil, still no spark, now he believes it is the Immobilizer, I do not recall seeing any lights from the Immo.
will go to the mechanic now to see if there is any immolights in the panel.

No warning light for the Immobilizer, or anything else for that matter ;o)

It´s a 2001 Mazda Premacy ( Europe )

 

The Mazda mechanic says it is the motor computer that is dead, it will cost me more then the car is worth to get a new but I can get it repaired for 75 $ so I wan´t to try that.
I do not know where the ECU is located, can anyone here help me with that ?
