How do I check the engine code on my 2003 MPV? The engine light is on. Thanks.

I know in other cars I have worked on with turning the key a few times and pressing a button, you can get the codes to come up on the odo reading, if it is a digital odometer. I am currently working on a 2002 MPV and need to find these codes. Could Someone Please Help!!
