I can see lots of posts and internet threads relating to Air Idle Control valves on the MPV which describes the problem I am having, but does the diesel engine have an AIC Valve? Thought this might just be petrol engines.

No engine warning lights, recovery mechanic ran a diagnostic and couldn't identify a problem. Any thoughts from anyone specifically for the diesel (2 litre) version.

- I'm not this happy about the vehicle, but my five year old wanted me to add a smiley face.

 

(Hopefully) it's something simple after all. The latest is dealer thinks the air filter is clogged up so not enough air getting to the engine. They are also looking to replace the fuel filter though this was replaced fairly recently by the previous owner - possibly with a third party part.

I'll post more when I hear back from the garage.
