Default RE: new member - stalls at stops...?

I took it to a shop a little while back and they gave me a temporary fix, while i consider my options. I'd love to keep the car, but it still doesn't run right.

The shop just adjusted the idle... i don't think that's the correct move. The idle is definitely not right, and the hightened idle just makes for an irregular ride, but at least it isn't stalling.

Any further ideas...
- O2 sensors?
- Ignition Coil?
- Throttle Body gasket?
- Vaccuum lines?

a little help please.

Did you get some carb spray and spray it down the throttle body? Do this with some carb spray that is made for FI engines only (others will ruin the O2 sensor), then get a long brush and brush down the TB some, spray again, wait 15 mins, spray and brush again. Then see if that fixes it. It may be hard to start the first time, if you had a lot of gunk in it.

I did do the Carb cleaner a little while back. I thought i was on to something, but the problem reoccurred.
I only used about 1/3 of a can. Is it possbile i should be using more?
To do it properly, should i remove the throttle body? Last time i just sprayed it down while the engine was running...

I appreciate all the tips, keep the help coming... I need it.

Yes, keep the engine off, but try using the brush, and let it set for about 15 mins after brushing. I think you remove the plastic piece and spray down the throat of the metal piece. Good luck!
