Yep, that is where I checked. Now using that reference point, I do have suction going to A and when I connect A back at idle I also have suction at B. I do not think I understand the last sentence about applying battery voltage but I do understand the rest, and yes I do have suction coming from that shorter tube leading to the sensor. So since that is the case what do you suggest I do? Thanks again for your help. If you ever come to CO I owe ya a night on the town.

Only last check would be to disconnect the electrical connector to the solenoid and see if you still have suction at 'B' and onto the sensor. If you do then the solenoid is stuck on and should be replaced.
Thanks for the offer of a night on the town in CO. I grew up in Colorado near Aspen and all of my family still lives in the state. In fact, my little brother is a professor just up north from you in Fort Collins at CSU.

So assuming that is the case which part would I need to replace the whole boost sensor? Any good spots online to look for one since the parts stores here always give me a blank look whenever I attempt to order anything for this car, also offhand any ballpark figures? Thanks again, and that is quite a coincedence about you growing up here. I just moved here myself a few years ago from NY trying to get away from the big city life, but it has grown immensly here in only the short time I have spent here.

Its a small world I guess. You should not need to replace the boost sensor assuming it is ok and just the solenoid is stuck energized. OE part number for the solenoid only is KJ03-18-74XA and retails for $77.55. Available at www.onlinemazdaparts.com for $62.04 + shipping. Do not see that is in stock at any dealers in CO.
I have several good used ones if you want to go that route and see how things work. Pic below is the three that I have in my box for testing purposes. One on the left came off of a 2003 PR5 with only 18k on the odo that I put a complete used engine in and the motor came with harness and solenoids so being the pack rat I am, well you know what I mean
They should be an identical match but look as see if your solenoid looks like these, especially where the electrical connector plugs in. Operation is the same.
