Changing the Radiator (babyhuey Help!)
Okay so I go to get a new rad put in, Start to drive away and the guy who change the rad was an idoit. I F%$^'en hate getting my car worked on by random people
. Anyways I go to drive away and the guy didn't bleed my system for air drive home and my engine is jerking around like crazy, engine light goes on, and their's a whilsting/ hissing sound comming from my intercooler lines. I'm also very pissed at this point $400 dollars later. Go back to the place they bleed the system for air and reset the engine light car seems to run a little bit better but it sounded pretty rough still, not quite like usual. Go to drive away the second time and my intercooler line is whislting very louadly. Drive back again the take off the intercooler and put a tiny bit of silicon around the gasket in the front and a new clamp on the rubber peice and the hissing goes away and the car seems to drive normally Finally!!!
.
So I come home and I wanted to check the rad these guys put in because it's some aftermarket rad and it seems to me like they left the old one in or something. I can't figure it out but it looks like they're 2 rads one infront and one behind, the one behind is the new one. The name of the Rad is Valeo. Anybody every heard of this rad before?? Anyways that's my story and any feedback on this situation is greatly appriciated. I was scared because it was running really badly and I couldn't figure out what it was if they just changed out the Rad. I hope my car is okay it seems normal again but if anybody knows what to check for let me know because you guys have been really helpful.
Thanks for reading my story!!

Sounds like a lot more was done poorly other than just not getting all of the air from the cooling system with CEL on and air leaks.[:@] Hopefully all has been taken care of at this point. Time will tell.
Valeo is a fairly good aftermarket radiator source. The "radiator" in front is actually the heat disapation portionof the air conditioning system and is called a Condenser. All ok there.

valeo is a big oem manufacturer. dunno if they make anyting for mazda, but i do know they make a lot of stuff for bmw. radiators, heater cores, alternators, a/c controls, to name a few. however, the valeo alternators on bmw suck. i think in your case, the shop removed the front intercooler to get access. there is a lot of stuff that has to be removed to get at the radiator, especially the fan/fan shroud. remember that you are paying someone to learn about your car. this is probably the first one they ever worked on.
