Default 2002 Mazda Millenia 2.5l tranny problem?

I have an 02 Millenia with the 2.5l and automatic tranny. Recently I'm having an issue that after hours and hours of searching still no light at the end of the tunnel. It has 130k miles and has never given me a problem until now. When you shift into drive S or L it idles fine and will coast slightly but as soon as you accelerate the rpms stay at 1000-2000 rpm and doesnt change until you pet of the pedal it also acts as if the brakes are applied and will not go forward at all. Everything works as it should in reverse just not forward. This wasn't a creeping fail it just happened all of a sudden. The fluid level is right parking brake isn't applied. Idk what to look for any help will be greatly appreciated.

I had the problem on mine. It needed to be rebuilt so I pulled it out and my father built it for me. The clutch plates were welded together inside. Parts cost me 1000 labor was free of course but it runs like new again.

I'm selling the car now it's super clean
