I bought my car last April the person I bought it from a lady that said it needed a tranny flush so i did that. I have driven around 14000km, 208000km is the total on the car and the automatic transmisson decided to break. The problem started with the car not going past 60km/h and rpms not going past 2500 until I pressed the accelerator pedal deep enough, then the rpms jumped to 4000 and eventually in 3rd gear it just started not to accelerate at all while the rpms were near the red on the gauge. The mechanic says the tranny is done and that it will cost me up to $2000, but I can get a tranny for $200 I just don't know what the reasonable installation costs should be for it?
